The Third Annual Meeting of Chinese Pathologist Association will be held July 24 -27, 2009 in Fuzhou, Fujian, China. The meeting is hosted by the Chinese Medical Doctors Association (CMDA) and its subsidiary Chinese Pathologist Association (CPA), and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, Fuzhou General Hospital of Nanjin Military Command and Pathology Department of Fujian Medical University.
Aiming at both academic and administrative progress, the meeting will focus on pathological practice and skills, including the latest development of pathology, humanistic medicine and related legislature.
Presented at the meeting will be updates of the practicing status and details on the risk insurance acts of the national pathologists. A lawyer experienced in pathology-related lawsuits will speak on what a pathologist can do in the face of lawsuits. The training of pathologists and development of pathology will also be covered by renowned specialists from all over the world.
To enhance of professional development and diagnostic level and to build a ˇ°Home of the Medical Doctorsˇ± for self-improvement and protection of rights, the meeting will revolve around the new trend of diagnostic pathology, including the latest development of molecular pathology, such as proteomics, gene chip, FISH and gene sequencing in diagnostic pathology; and how to combine molecular pathologic tests and molecular targeted therapy in different hospitals. There will also be in-depth speeches and discussions on pathology of liver, breast, and kidney transplantation as well as telepathology.
Each attendant will be awarded 10 national first-class credits in continuing medical education.
