2013 3rd China Outcomes Research and Evidence Based Medicine

3rd China Outcomes Research and Evidence Based Medicine Summit (CORE Summit) is the only venue in China that dedicates to outcomes research, comparative effectiveness research, health technology assessment, value based health management, and e-Health.Organized by Chinese Medical Doctor Association and VitalStrategic Research Institute, CORE creates a platform where leaders from government, medical society, and industry could conjoin their vision, policies, evidence,and thereby stimulating and reinforcing the practice of evidence based medicine.

Internationally, the healthcare community has been showing growing interest in real world outcomes research and integrated health care management. While the safety and efficacy of a medical product are usually assessed in randomized controlled trials (RCTs), real world outcomes research has been deemed to be an effective way to define the clinical and cost effectiveness of a medical intervention in large patient population settings.

CORE Summit is organized by Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA) and VitalStrategic Research Institute (VSRI).

2009 Resident Physician and Specialist Training Summit

In accordance with the State Council's requirements for medical reform and to implement the training system for resident physicians, specialists and general practitioners per request of the Ministry of Health, the Chinese Medical Association and the Shanghai Health Bureau have jointly organized the 2009 seminar for resident / specialist pilot training management and resident / specialist training forum.

The seminar and forum focused on sharing the experiences in the following four areas:

1. Management of the enrollment of the resident / specialist physician training program

2. Assessment of the resident / specialist physician training quality

3. Recommendations on the management of the resident / specialist physician training program

4. Management and quality control of the resident / specialist physician training program

The 2 nd Beijing Doctor's forum on Infectious diseases is to be held on September 19-20, 2009 in Beijing

To facilitate exchanging experience and results from the clinical research of infectious diseases, and to promote research infectious diseases, the Committee of Experts of the Department of Infectious Diseases of Beijing Medical Association will hold the 2nd Beijing Doctor's forum on Infectious diseases from September 19-20, 2009 in Beijing. Physicians with specialties in Infectious diseases, gastroenterology, liver disease and other related disciplines are welcome.

National Conference on Interventional Radiology

To promote the development of interventional radiology, improve the diagnosis skill of medical professionals, and to update knowledge of interventional radiology, the Training Department of the Chinese Medical Association will hold the National Conference on interventional radiology on September 26, 2009 in Chengdu. Scientific leaders in interventional radiology and technical experts are to participate. The meeting aims to promote the exchange of research expertise and to strengthen communications among the medical professionals. Physicians in Interventional radiology and ultrasound medical imaging are encouraged to participate. Participate will receive Class I credits for continuing education.

Grass-roots medical training project launched in Beijing

Even since its inception, the Chinese Medical Doctor's Association has always valued the importance of the basic healthcare in urban and rural areas in China, and has been concerned about the healthcare professionals in these areas, particularly frontline village doctors in rural areas. Recently, the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Training Department and AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (China) co-organized the National Standardization Training Program for Rural Doctors. The purpose of the program was to improve the clinical skills and ethics of the physicians in rural areas, and to facilitate the adaption to the requirements of the healthcare reform, to address the difficulties in accessing basic medical care, and to actively promote the establishment of standardization training system.

The 4 th Chinese Physical Examination Physician Conference and Clinical Summit mmit
Chinese Medical Doctor Association Physical Examination Subdivision, Chinese People's Liberation Army Medical Technology Committee and Congqing Medical Association reached consensus to host The 4 th Chinese Physical Examination Physician Conference and Clinical Summit in Congqing from May 15 th to 18 th , 2009. The keynote speakers include Dr. Yulong Cong, Vice President of Chinese Medical Doctor Association Physical Examination Subdivision, Dr. Hong Song, Clinical Professor of China Medical University First Hospital, and Dr. Ziyu Shen, Director of Clinical Examination Center of Ministry of Health etc.
CONFERENCES

1. Third Cardiovascular Pathology Meeting and Seminar on Latest Development of Diagnosis and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease to be Held in Aug. 13-16, 09
Organized by the Sub-association of Cardiologists of CMDA, Chinese Invasive Cardiology Magazine and the Training Center of Invasive Cardiology of Chinese Medical Association, the meeting will be held in Wulumuqi, Xingjiang.
The meeting will cover the latest development on cardiology: hypertension, coronary heart disease, pulmonary embolism, cardiac failure, RHD, arrhythmia, electrocardiology and pacing, cardiovascular invasive diagnosis and treatment, cardio surgery, preventive cardiology and related subjects.
Renowned specialists will be invited to introduce the outstanding achievements on prevention, fundamental study and clinical diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and related subjects.
All related medical workers are welcome to attend the meeting; those who pass the test at the end of the meeting will be granted 10 marks in the national continuing medical education.


2. First Congress Meeting of Chinese Association of Critical Care Physicians (CACCP) Advocated by Professor Dechang Chen from Beijing Union Hospital and Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Chinese Association of Critical Care Physicians (CACCP) has been successfully approved and certified by Ministry of Health, a great achievement that is owing to the hard work and dedication of thousands of Intensive Care Unit workers. It was decided that on July 9 th , 2009 the first congress meeting of CACCP would take place in Jinan, Shangdong.


3. Nationwide Children Obesity Prevention and Therapy Workshop
Chinese Medical Doctor Children Health Specialty Committee will host 2009 Nationwide Children Obesity Prevention and Therapy Workshop from July 20 th to July 29 th at Huayu Spa Holiday Inn in Hebei. This event meets the demand of variety of all levels of pediatric practitioners, aiming to offer the authoritative trainings on how to provide body weight control services to adolescent and youth groups based on a review of over 30 years of research and clinical experiences.


4. Gerontology Medical Care System Symposium
Approved by China Continuing Education Committee, Gerontology Medical Care System Symposium will take place at Green Haotai Hotel in Beijing from Aug 10 th to 14 th , 2009. Beijing Elders Hospital, Ministry of Health Gerontology Medical Institute, Chinese Medical Doctor Association Department of Training will host symposium in collaboration. The training section awards the trainees 8 credits if they pass the final exam after the symposium.

The First Annual General Surgeons Conference

Dear Distinguished Surgeons,

Chinese College of Surgeons (CCS) is a branch organization of Chinese Medical Doctor Association. It is a national, non-for profit and voluntary association consisting of individual surgeon members and institutional members. As the main association for general surgeons in China, all the participating members are legally registered and licensed general surgeons (licensed surgeons and licensed assistant surgeons) within the territory of China and are entitled to practice medicine in China. Approved by China's Ministry of Health and officially registered with China's Ministry of Civil Affairs, Chinese College of Surgeons (CCS) is legally constituted in November, 2007.

The mandate of Chinese College of Surgeons (CCS) is to regulate medical practice by licensed medical practitioners and to protect their rights as well as to advocate self-disciplines for the professionals. And through that mandate to establish and endorse standards for the profession and to initiate a series of functions as to coordinate, discipline, protect, oversea, manage its members. CCS unites and organizes surgeons in China to abide by national constitutions, laws, regulations and policies, to advocate the ethical values and life-saving humanitarian and professional principles, to improve surgeon medical levels and service quality, to protect the rights of surgeons and to improve the healthcare of Chinese people as well as to build a h armonious society.

The first Annual Surgeons Conference, organized by CCS will be held at Beijing Jiu Hua Mountain Resort International exhibition center from September 26 to September 29, 2008.

With the theme as "Accomplishment, Exploration, Challenge" - The Chinese Surgeons "Medical Practice and Professional Management", this conference invites renowned scholars and senior experts in the filed of general surgeon medical practice, scientific research and professional management, together with the surgeons from all over China, to gather together to discuss a number of topics: 1).The Chinese College of Surgeons' organizational and management model; methods and measurements of implementing different functions of the association; 2) Clinical development of various fields in surgery; coordination between various surgery and technical presentation and education; study and implementation of medical treatment standards, medical practice standards and medical professional standards; 3) the development of organizational management of CCS and international environment; 4) The professional risks that the Chinese surgeons are facing and the rights of surgeons.

This annual conference will turn out to be a platform for the general medical and clinical experience exchange between all the general surgeons, exploration of medical practice management model, presentation of medical service levels and participation of regularity of medical practice. This conference will also become the forefront for the appearance and education of new technology and new products in various field of surgery.
